State Farm® Insurance Agent Gene Shieh

"I was with state farm for many years and not once did I ever speak with Gene Shieh or even hear from him. I would get a generic birthday card in the mail that was stamped by the front office person. I will say the gal that works for him is nice but you can tell she is overworked. Last time I called for a quote on a new auto policy and she seemed overwhelmed to do it and just kind of rushed through it. Also 90% of the time I call, it goes to voice mail and it could take days until you get a call back. Just don't expect a call back from Gene because he seems to never be there. I had to call the 800 number to cancel my policy even though I wanted to do it with the office directly. They just never answered the phone or called back. I wanted to stay with state farm because I thought it was worth it to pay for an agent that takes care of you and now I know I was wrong for that. Progressive has given me top notch service in just the few times I have talked with them. The rates were phenomenal compared to state farm and every year with state farm, my rates kept getting higher and higher. I thought they had loyalty discounts to prevent that. Overall I would urge that you shop around and go with a company that will always be attentive to their customers."
